Timothy wojcik
FOREIGN RIGHTS DIRECTOR
Timothy Wojcik joined David Black Agency as Foreign Rights Director in early 2026 after working for nearly 15 years in rights and as an agent at Levine Greenberg Rostan Literary Agency.
Tim has spent his career developing strong relationships with authors and their management teams and lawyers, international co-agents, film and TV agents, and literary scouts. He has brokered countless translation and audiobook deals and advocated for a wide list of titles from development to submission to negotiation to sale to publication and beyond. He attends the major book fairs in London and Frankfurt every year, meeting with international editors from around the world.
As the son of Polish immigrants, Tim has a particular interest in writing that examines the multi-varied subject of the immigrant experience, and otherwise reads fiction of all sorts, from the classics to the contemporary and formally inventive. His non-fiction tastes range widely, from memoir, biography, history, to prescriptive self-help and science. And he always loves trying out new recipes from cookbooks.
Born in Lawrence, Kansas, Tim has lived in New Orleans, the Netherlands, Houston, and spent many childhood summers with relatives on the outskirts of Warsaw. He attended Hendrix College in Arkansas, where he majored in English with an emphasis in creative writing and played collegiate lacrosse. He now lives in Queens, NY.
In his free time, Tim is an avid runner, a tennis fanatic, a staunch Liverpool supporter, and a sometimes writer.
Tim is not accepting queries nor taking on domestic clients.
