Assistant to Owner

Posted: Nov. 2, 2016 Status: Open The David Black Agency seeks an experienced assistant to help owner with the day-to-day running of the business. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to think quickly and independently are essential. Tasks include evaluating manuscripts, providing editorial feedback, communicating effectively via telephone and email, writing submission letters, reading royalty statements, processing client payments, tracking client contracts and payments, helping to generate ideas and to identify new talent, and facilitating conference calls and scheduling. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, high energy, and will have strong critical thinking skills. At least one year of publishing experience is required (barring internships).
